CCPY Step-Up to Brighter Futures Annual Open Enrollment is available from Aug 14th until Oct 15th - space is limited Information Orientations and applications are available for all interested San Jose high school freshman & sophomores at both CCPY East San Jose locations- for more information call 408-230-1431 (English & Spanish) or 408-667-4777 (English) or info@ccpy.org

We believe one of the greatest obstacles to social change is resignation about the future.

CCPY assists youths find worth in themselves and to discover they have the ability to “step up,” “step ahead” and “step beyond” their current circumstances and make positive life choices.

CCPY provides well established successful programs in East San Jose providing an alternative positive culture where the focus is on attending to issues and attaining goals, rather than avoiding them and engaging in negative social behaviors. We foster social support structures while providing a critical balance of non-stressful, restorative environments -- both on-site at the schools and off-site through intensive outdoor experiences in nature that help students attend to problems and utilize constructive means to attain goals

CCPY develops links with youth, to listen and understand the challenges they are facing and to help them develop strategies to best deal with those challenges.

CCPY’s out of school hours community process provides youths who feel like they want and need to make a change, but lack the insight or the guidance to do so with an open and non-judgmental community of peers and adults positive role models.

The CCPY community partnership is currently seeking 45 freshman & sophomores. This is the only each year opportunity to join as participant of the CCPY Step-Up to Brighter Futures. In the safe, accountable Step-Up environment teens obtain the personal/educational support they need to succeed and stay in school, as well as develop, articulate and achieve long-term personal and academic goals.
